Eoin Grealis

Eoin is an environmental economist, energy policy analyst and current member of scientific staff of the Human Environment Relations, Research and Teaching Unit, Dept. of Geography, Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich.  A former lecturer and course co-ordinator in the Dept. of Economics, Eoin received a B.A. Int. (Law and Economics) and an M.A in Economic and Environmental Modelling from NUI Galway.  He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Geography, NUI Maynooth where he developed a dynamic spatial microsimulation model of Irish agricultural emissions. Following his doctoral studies, he held a post-doctoral position with the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU) at NUI, Galway where in partnership with colleagues in SEMRU and Teagasc (the Irish national agricultural advisory agency) he developed the Bio-Economy Input-Output model (BIO) for Ireland.
