Zoya Damianova (Female) is ARC Fund’s Programme Director. She has 19 years of EU project management experience, with more than 80 projects in which she has been either the coordinator or member of the team. Her current research focus is on: sustainable innovation, social innovation,workplace innovation, foresight studies and technology assessment. Zoya is the coordinator of the FP7 project CASI – Public participation in developing a common framework for assessment and management of sustainable innovation (2014-2017). Recently, she has been also working on the following Horizon 2020 projects: CIMULACT – Citizen and multi-actor consultation on Horizon 2020, PROSO – Promoting societal engagement under the terms of RRI and Black Sea Horizon – Enhanced bi-regional STI cooperation between the EU and the Black Sea Region as well as the FP7 projects SI-DRIVE – Social innovation: Driving force of social change (2014-2017), PACITA – Parliaments and Civil Societies for Technology Assessment (2011-2014); Engage2020 – Engaging Society in Horizon 2020 (2013-2015); and SPRING – Scoping China’s Environmental Research Excellence and Major Infrastructure: foresight, Potentials and Roadmaps (2010-2012). Zoya holds an MSc in power generation and an MBA in corporate finance. She was an evaluator in FP7 and Erasmus-Mundus programmes, and is currently an evaluator in H2020. She was recently selected as a member of the International Advisory Board of the South-East European Research Centre, established in Greece by the University of Sheffield International Faculty. Zoya is currently a member of an expert group at DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission, focused on identifying cross-sectoral research priorities at the junction of health, environment and bioeconomy, through horizon scanning and foresight.
