Freja Friis, Ph.D., is researcher at the Danish Building Research Institute, Aalborg University (AAU) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Freja has a M.Sc. in Social Science and Geography from Roskilde University, and holds a PhD in everyday practices and smart technology. Frejas has worked with a variety of research projects within sustainable urban development, including regional development, sustainable building standards, social housing, citizen participation, user-driven innovation and smart grid technologies. Thorugh her PhD research, she obtained particular in-depth knowledge of smart grid technologies interplay with households everyday life focusing on electric vehicles and dynamic pricing. In general, Frejas has anaytical experience with social practice theory, mobility and transition theories in general. Her primary methodological competences are qualitative case studies, field work and interviews.
