GENEVA University (Switzerland) had their ENERGISE Living Labs closing event on the 18th June.

The transnational Interreg VA program of Flanders-Netherlands brings together Flemish and Dutch partners in the ENLEB project that aims at developing an integrated concept for making residential private homes more sustainable on the basis of co-creation, with the focus on self-sufficiency, so that homes remain energy-neutral even if the residents’ energy profile changes.
Dr Eimear Heaslip, NUI Galway post-doctoral researcher for the ENERGISE project, recently published a briefing note from her PhD research. The briefing note, titled: “Community Energy Planning in Inis Oírr: Revealing our community's capacity to plan for our energy future” reported on the findings and methodologies developed in her PhD research.
Dr Eimear Heaslip (NUI Galway post-doctoral researcher for the ENERGISE project) and Dr Frances Fahy (Lead Coordinator, of the ENERGISE Project) published a policy brief as part of the Whitaker Institute Policy Brief Series in November 2018.
At the end of 2017, the ENERGISE team at the National University of Ireland hosted Mr Pasi Toivanen (University of Tampere, Finland) and Giulia Mininni (Kelle University, UK) PhD researchers collaborating with the H2020 SHAPE ENERGY project. Both presented their research in NUI Galway and worked with the ENERGISE team in November and December 2017.
Slovenian ENERGISE project partner Focus, together with environmental organisation Umanotera, is implementing activities for promotion of community-based management of life resources since 2016.
The HEEC project, “Energy Efficiency of Households in Cities: A Multi-method Analysis”, investigates energy efficiency determinants for passenger transport and energy use in households in cities.
The ENERGISE team would like to congratulate members of the PROSEU (PROSumers for the Energy Union: mainstreaming active participation of citizens in the energy transition) project led by Ines Campos, University of Lisbon on their recent H2020 success. The project aims to enable the mainstreaming of the prosumer phenomenon into the European Energy Union.
